Thinking I might get back to Cluj by train I remembered how much I hate Romanian trains. Filth, discomfort, rudeness, and an incredible amount of time spent between the four walls of an eight people compartment makes me fear the train ride. I have to endure yet another 7 hours on a route i already know to well, praying that my window seat will be free, and my compartment won’t be full of 8 people, especially old people, drunk or gypsies who refuse to wash once in a while (at least).
Thinking of this makes me dream of leaving Romania for a better country, and to support that dream more than 1 minute I begin to search opportunities to leave. Stupid enough I try to find train rides that could get me out of Romania but surprise the Romanian Train Administration (CFR) doesn’t have an online schedule of the international routes. In the year 2010, they don’t have an online schedule. I can’t believe I have to call just to find out some information. The problem is I don’t know what I want. Last solution flights. For that, another time, I have at least two more years in this country, and I will enjoy it the best I can.
